World AIDS Day 2008

I remember when I first heard about AIDS in the eighties. I was only a teenager and I recall how people were shocked and afraid.

In those days AIDS was still so misunderstood that people were afraid to touch a person, even a child, who might have aids.

It is sad that today’s youth have never known a world without AIDS.

Today is World AIDS Day and I’m joining Bloggers Unite in their efforts to increase awareness about this terrible disease. May we again know a world without AIDS.
