Catch some Rays at the Toronto Zoo

The Toronto Zoo has a wonderful new exhibit that should not be missed. Stingray Bay - A Touching Experience allows families to get up close and personal with the most majestic creatures of the sea - stingrays.

To visit Stingray Bay, families will be required to pay $3 per person (in addition to zoo admission). Children three and under are free. This will permit you to stay as long as you want to pet the gentle Cownose and Southern Stingrays.

Before putting your hands in the pool, visitors will asked to wash up to their elbows with water and to remove all jewelry from their hands and wrists.

Children will giggle with delight as the gentle creatures brush up against their hands the minute they dip them into the warm water. It is a great opportunity to learn more about stingrays and to become educated in the conservation efforts that are happening to ensure these sea creatures have a bright future in the world’s oceans.
