Time For a Winter Coat !!!

This was my mantra this weekend as we in Canada were hit by a blast of extreme cold weather, nothing unusual in that you may think - however, it is a little earlier than i would normally purchase my cold weather jacket. I had been offered one as a birthday present, therefore I had a decision to make - get last years out the wardrobe or get one now.

In general, there are alot of elegant winter coats on sale this season. I had a totally open mind as to what I was looking for, as long as it was warm and versatile I wasn’t too bothered with the style. Big buttons, belts, clips, patterned wool and big lapels are all common elements amongst this seasons coats. Anyway, I tried a few on and made my decision. I recently made an excellent purchase. The item in question is a black peacoat and the store I purchased the item from was none other than H&M and the 2nd excellent purchase is a army green Nike winter coat. While I'm at H&M , I bought a new knit glove and a scarf.

Anyway, that was my shopping excitement this week...

Hajj is a wonderful and amazing trip one makes in life if they can. To see all in similar dress, the poor and rich become the same, and people are there to worship God Almighty in rememberance of Prophet Ibrahim, and also his wife, Hajjar who searched for water for her son Ismail, when the water of ZamZam sprung from the earth.

I’m hijacking my own blog for a moment with a salute to our Canadian soldiers, past, present and future. Every year, I understand this day a bit more, I come to know the threats they keep at bay a bit more and appreciate everything they have done, are doing and will do for me a great deal more.

Today I commemorate those who have fought in the past, I honour those who continue to fight and I thank those who have not yet fought for giving me a country with so much promise, where I am free to live out my dreams without fear.

I thank you. I cherish you. I salute you.

YAY ...

Ha-ha! I know that's pretty sad to wish myself, but hey, TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY and I don't give a damn! So, I turned 33 today and I can hardly believe that I'm another year older (and wiser).
On the whole, my 32nd year has been a real eye-opener for me, not just because I have experienced a lot of things for the first time, but because for the first time in my life I feel I have accomplished things that I never thought possible before and made so many positive changes to myself. To that I thank my beloved friends and family, my special 'Online Friend' (who is still living in Trinidad & Tobago at the moment), the beautiful country of Malaysia and last but not least, all of your kind words and support!On this special day, I stop and stare, reflecting what I've done in the past twelve months. And guess what? I have no regret at all 'cos now I become a better man!
